Mayka Thibodeau

An industrial designer with a degree from the Université de Montréal and a Master of Science in Applied Sustainable Development from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), her professional practice is guided by the principles of applied sustainable development. Interested in the alternatives to hyper-consumption as the only answer to our needs, the life-cycle approach to objects has led her to view the obsolescence of the goods around us as fertile ground for innovation. Over the past eight years, Mayka Thibodeau has developed many multi-disciplinary projects designed to provide innovative responses to the interdependence of economic, ecological and social issues in environmental matters, particularly in waste management.
